Villa Alea is a lake house, designed for a water loving family!

Our goal was, whilst making sure the house fully integrated in the neighborhood style and spirit, to create a unique vibe whereby being at home feels like a vacation.

Layout was a big focus. We wanted to articulate the different rooms, making the lake view and natural light a priority.

The open plan design of the living room allows family to mingle whilst carrying out various actives, or hosting friends and family for social occasions.

The outdoor screened in porch create additional open space. By bringing outside in, it creates a family playground, where parents can stay focused on their activities whilst making sure the kids are supervised.

Natural tones and raw materials were chosen to add a coastal vibe to the house. We chose white as the main color to bring light and freshness to the spaces.

Wood and textured fabrics give each room an authentic and cozy feeling.

Skylights are use throughout the home to create a nice contrast and shadows in resonance with the custom pergolas we designed.

The pergolas were created for privacy and shade, whilst adding texture to the back facade. It creates a perfect balance between stucco, siding, wood, melting textures, whites, and creams, integrating the house in the natural tropical environment.
